I am a new patient. My first experience was my very first implant. Dr Petrosino has been wonderful. I have been putting off this procedure for years. If only I knew the ease this office offers for the implant, I would not have dreaded the whole idea. One stop expert professional care is all a patient is looking to find. The friendly, capable, courteous staff is an added bonus. The clean comfortable office suite is just a little perk. Did I mention absolutely no pain or discomfort?!

Several situations require oral surgery. If you have a problem tooth that is not able to be saved, we can extract it quickly and gently. We can also remove wisdom teeth that are putting your other teeth at risk. Also, Dr. Petrosino can place dental implants where you’re missing teeth so that we can secure new replacement teeth to them.
For the first 24 hours after oral surgery, you shouldn’t attempt any sort of exercise. Doing too much too soon can cause problems. For example, strenuous exercise could loosen the blood clot on a tooth extraction site and cause a painful dry socket. After the first day, limit your exercise to low-impact activities for a few more days to be on the safe side.
The type of oral surgery you have will ultimately determine how much discomfort you feel, but rest assured our goal is always to provide the most comfortable dental care we can. For most of the oral surgery procedures we perform, over-the-counter pain relievers will take care of any discomfort. If needed, your dentist can prescribe something stronger to help you through the healing process.
